Who are we?
Welfare Centers Pakistan is a growing organization which aims to help and educate those in unfortunate situations. Our mission is to create a warm and friendly environment for underprivileged residents, including children and the elderly, around Pakistan and provide them with a good education, community center and a resource center.
WCP and its many members are dedicated to create a new and advanced community in rural areas of Pakistan. We hope to change the thinking of many underprivileged individuals and make them understand the importance of a good education in the 21st Century.
Our objectives are to set up:
- Libraries: It is a misconception in Pakistan that Libraries are for research, highly qualified and learned peoples, while the libraries are for all age and group of peoples. Good libraries cater for learned and literate peoples, young and old peoples. Our aim is to provide audio, video and printed quality materials in the libraries. By quality materials we mean books and literature free of sectarian, where peoples will be treated equally free of their social status, their gender, their beliefs.
- Community Centres: where peoples from all walks of life get together, share their ideas for the development and construction of the society. Elders play their role to develop the projects where youngsters can use their potential and energies to make their lives useful, get rid of social taboos, and be a useful member of the society.
- Help Students: these centres will raise funds for the poor and needy students to pay their school fee, and help them buy books.
